Thanksgiving was fantastic! We ate a ton of food, and it was all delicious! My personal favorites were the sweet potato casserole, the pumpkin gingerbread, and the mashed potatoes. Those recipes will definitely be sticking around! Kristin made a great turkey, delicious gravy, and some of the best apple-cranberry sauce I've ever had. Yum!
After dinner we had a game night some other friends. It was awesome! We definitely missed being with our families on Thanksgiving, but it was fun for us to start our own traditions.
The next day we went up to Joshua Tree to climb with a group of friends from Texas. We keep running in to people from back home, and I honestly feel like it's helped keep us from getting too homesick. Claire had a lot of fun with her PeaPod, but she definitely preferred to be "worn" the majority of the time! What a Mama's girl.
We also took family pictures last weekend. We went up to a gorgeous city park with a friend of ours, and she was kind enough to snap some pictures of us. She's still editing our favorites, but here are some Claire pictures from the shoot:
